Reading and Spelling: Practice Book Pages 31, 36, 38, 39, 40, 44
Math Lesson 7, 1-30 all
Social Studies: Group work. Test tomorrow over continents, oceans, equator and prime meridian.
We are having a lot of trouble with talking and staying in seats in my room. I told the students they would have a new teacher tomorrow and her name would be Mrs. Grouchy so don't be surprised if they come home complaining about me. Stay strong and we'll get them whipped into shape in no time at all. Have a great evening.

No homework today. We worked on writing a friendly letter and writting a letter to ourselves for our classroom time capsule. The students all got to experience the joy of the new Promethean board that has been installed in our room. As your student about it, I'm sure they will have something to say. Monday's special will be P.E. so don't forget your tennis shoes. Also if you haven't already gotten a planner, please try to do so by Monday so we can begin utilizing them. Have a great weekend.

Today there was no homework. We worked on writing paragraphs to turn into a friendly letter for tomorrow. We also took a placement test in math to find out what the kids remember from last year. In reading we started Pumpkin Runner and working with different reading strategies such as Predict/Infer, Question, and Monitor/Clarify. If you have not already purchased a planner for your child I would urge you to do so by Monday. They are $2.00 at the office. Tomorrow's special is Art and P.E. is on Monday.
